Full description

Kelly Mine Preservation Society, 2015, The Bullaton Stream Reservoir, dam and pipeline (Worksheet). SDV358917.

The Pipeline of approximately 270 metres in length is in two distinct parts. It runs gently downhill in a west-north-west direction (SX 79928178 to SX 79758187) as far as the Kelly Brook and into the supply tank. It is made of stoneware pipes manufactured in Newton Abbot by the Hexter Humpherson Company.
After this the Pipeline runs downhill from the supply tank in a west-south-west direction (SX 79758187 to SX 79528178) on the north bank of the Kelly Brook to provide water to the main site. Owing to severe degradation the stoneware pipes section has now been lined with modern plastic piping by the Kelly Mine Preservation Society in order to maintain system functionality. The original stoneware piping can be seen clearly for most of the way.
