Name:Blowing mill at Longstone, Burrator Reservoir

Summary

A mouldstone lying in the top water level of the reservoir was rescued by the foreman and transferred to the grounds of Plymouth corporation on the north shore. Before the reservoir was constructed the leat which formerly supplied the blowing house was clearly traceable. A mill stone from a crazing mill was found on the foreshore near the mould stone on the south bank of the reservoir (worth, 1940).
