Fidget's rest. House. Probably medieval with early - mid c17 alterations, probably extended in c19. Rendered cob walls. Hipped thatch roof. Projecting rendered rubble lateral stack at front. Plan: originally probably 2-room-and-through-passage plan with hall to right heated by front lateral stack. The right-hand end of the house is probably a c19 extension or conversion of an outbuilding. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window front, the right-hand end of which is a lower extension with window only on the ground floor.1 and 2-light c20 casements. C20 thatched porch towards left-hand end has later c20 panelled door behind it. Interior: said to have a smoke-blackened medieval roof structure. There may be other early internal features (doe).
