Tin mill on left bank of the river lyd near wheal mary emma. "of the sites mr robins describes, the one on the left bank of the r. Lyd is the most likely to have been a blowing house, or at least a tinner's mill, though as yet we have no conclusive proof that it was. It is situated opposite the main workings of wheal mary emma, a mine which worked for some time in the 19th century from 1849 onwards". Cf. Article (t. Greeves) wmn 25/8/1977. Doetor green/doter green/dotter green/lydford. Tin mill documented in 1594,1627,1694,1732,1738-40,1758,1820-1. Possibly to be identified with unverified mill site at wheal mary emma (sx53338524) see sx58nw/45/1 (greeves,1981).
