A type FW3/22 pillbox standing on the clifftop.

Full description

1996: A low level aerial photograph taken in 1948 shows a type FW3/22 pillbox standing on the clifftop approx. 120 yards to the W of the 6 inch gun site (SMR 10783). Its entrance is on the NW face and it appears to have a protective skirt of concrete. <1> <2>

The area is now a grassy clifftop.

A postcard, franked in 1952, shows this pillbox in the foreground and what appears to be one of the gun casemates in the background. <3>
