A type FW3/22 pillbox.

Full description

1996: An aerial photograph taken in 1948 shows a type FW3/22 pillbox standing at a junction of hedges at the N end of what appears to be a possible filled-in anti-tank ditch. <1> <2>

An aerial photograph taken in 1953 shows all the hedges to have been cleared by that date and no sign of the pillbox. The area is now an airfield (the airfield opened in 1958). <3>
