Full description

A plan of the airfield dated 1948 shows this to have been the Battle H.Q. It is described as being of brick construction and connected, almost certainly underground, to the pillbox at TL 4874 0382 (SMR 10127). <1> From this position the whole of the airfield can be seen and although there is now only flat grass over this area it is possible to find remains of brick walling.
