Protected Status
- SHINE: SECTION OF THE OUTER LONDON STOP LINE, BOLTON'S PARK
Full description
A linear feature next to pillbox [6716] may be an infilled section of the anti-tank ditch of the Outer London Stop Line. Though only a slight hollow is present in front of the pillbox, to the east a deeper ditch runs east-west, in an alignment that would match that of the anti-tank ditch at Potter's Bar Golf Club, the anti-tank blocks at Swanley Bar Lane [6715], the ditch at Brookmans Park [10233], and defences in Northaw Great Wood. It may be that the mature trees present next to this deeper section of the ditch prevented its infilling <1>. The photographs also show pillbox [6716].
