Full description

The former Methodist Chapel at Linwood is constructed of pre-fabricated corrugated iron, and is currently disused. It has been reported that the material to build the chapel was moved from Holton cum Beckering (see PRN 55103). {1}{2}

Local people also say that the chapel in fact came from Walesby. When the Church of St Mary was opened in Walesby in 1914, the temporary iron church that had stood since 1881 (see PRN 56608) was sold, dismantled and moved to become a chapel in nearby Linwood. All that remains today (2014) is the chancel and front porch. {3}
