Summary

A possible pit with a single fill containing post-medieval pottery,animal bone and shell.

Description

A shallow sided feature sloping to a depth of 1.2m. It contained a single fill and finds included pottery of 17th/18th century date, animal bone and shell. It suggests that at this time there was either an expansion of activity into the Abbey precinct, or a change of land use within the precinct's confines <1>.
