Description
Heath Farm is on the site of the former hamlet of Amaston. 7 tenants were recorded at Amaston in 1086. This had shrunk to only 4 by 1379, but a recognisable hamlet may have survived until the 1690s as there were several small freeholds there in the C16 and C17. Heath farm dates from c 1800. Ridge and furrow lies to the S of Heath Farm and a well preserved ringwork and bailey (SA 1084) in the field immediately adjacent to the NE <1>
