Description
C17 brick garden wall on sandstone foundation. Part is retaining wall to earthworks of earlier fortifications. Three pointed-arch doorways <1>
It is possible that the lower stone coursing of the North and West walls of the garden represent the remains of the revetment wall of the inner face of the Civil War rampart <2> <3>
