Extracts from the computer database, maps, parish lists and box files.  Photocopying and scanning facilities available.

The Record is available to all but a prior appointment is required to visit.  Written, telephone or e-mail enquiries can also be dealt with depending on the nature and quantity of the information required and subject to payment for any photocopies.  Requests of a commercial nature will usually incur a charge.


Range of information available:

Information on all known archaeological sites, historic buildings and historic landscape features of all periods, including stray finds and industrial remains.  All Scheduled Ancient Monuments and Listed Buildings are recorded together with historic parks and gardens and field systems.  Buried remains and demolished buildings are also included. 

Fieldwork reports.

Photograph and slide collections, oblique and vertical aerial photographs (archaeological and non-archaeological) and library of local journals, monographs and other publications. 

Parish Surveys (Historic Landscape) and historic map transcripts.
