Visitor Facilities:
Dedicated search room with visitor desk, photocopier, scanner, pc with access to SMR database and Internet.
Please note there is no wheelchair access to the HER search room. Alternative arrangements are in place for wheelchair-users to see HER material at the Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies, where wheelchair access and disabled toilet facilities are available for visitors. Access to the HER is by prior appointment only.
Range of information available:
Records of archaeological sites and finds from earliest human presence in Buckinghamshire to the end of the Cold war, including Listed Buildings, Scheduled Ancient Monuments, industrial and military complexes etc.
The HER includes detailed reports, maps and plans, photos and slides, collections of aerial photographs and a small library of books, monographs and local periodicals.
