Visitor Facilities:
Small library, desk top computer for SMR search, aerial photographs, archive records including maps, drawings, photographs and other manuscripts. Also artefact store.
Range of information available:
Records of archaeological sites, finds and industrial buildings, including fieldwork reports, mapping and photographs. Please note: the SSMR is open to limited public consultation but an appointment must be made in advance. Staff will show how information can be accessed but we have limited space and staff time. Photocopying is permitted at the current cost of 5p a sheet. Commercial consultations are charged a fee dependent on the time needed.
