Visitor Facilities:
Access to the Historic Environment Record (HER) is via e-mail or prior appointment only at The Keep. Enquirers are requested to book vists at least 7 days in advance and should be aware that it will not always be possible to arrange visits at short notice. Send an e-mail to County.HER@eastsussex.gov.uk to arrange access.

Range of information available:
Records on ‘all’ recorded archaeological sites within the county. Records of many recent (last 20 years) archaeological excavations within the county. Range of early Ordnance Survey maps and aerial data.

Please note: the ESHER is open to public consultation but an appointment must be made in advance.

Commercial consultations are charged a fee dependent on the time needed.
