Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Disparate group of buildings including a Saw Mill shown on the 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map on the west side of the Taw just north of Barnstaple Bridge.

Westacott's Shipyard, now the site of Shapland and Petter's factory. Wood ships of up to 800 tons were built here in the 19th century. The last vessel was launched in 1887.
