Formerly known as: Nos1 and 2 Higher Coombe Cottages. House, 16th century. Painted render over cob and rubblestone, hipped thatched roof with rendered stacks to end walls and a ridge stack to the right of the door. Originally a three-room plan with hall stack backing onto through passage and long lower end. Exterior: two storeys; four-window range. Twentieth century windows, door and porch. A window to the far right was formerly a door. Interior: the ground-floor room to the left has rough crossbeam possibly chamfered to the left side. To the rear right of the passage, which has stop-chamfered joists, is part of a plank-and-muntin wall and doorcase. The room to the right of the passage has exposed joists with roll-edge moulding divided from a room to the far right by a complete plank-and-muntin wall. Upper floors not seen.
