Brewery shown on 1904-1906 25 inch Ordnance Survey map as a long group of buildings to the south of Bear Street in Barnstaple.

Situated behind 35 Bear Street, but best viewed from Queen Street, is the Yeo Vale Brewery of William Pugsley. Brewing began here about 1900, the company having moved from Boutport Street. Ceased production about 1930.
