The Buckinghamshire Historic Environment Record is the definitive source of information on historic buildings, structures and landscapes, and known archaeological sites and finds in the county of Buckinghamshire, excluding Milton Keynes. The HER comprises a computerised database linked to digital mapping, available online on the Unlocking Buckinghamshire's Past website. A large collection of unpublished reports, paper archives, aerial photographs, maps and plans, images, books and journals can be consulted by prior appointment at our offices in Aylesbury.
