The Dudley Historic Environment Record (HER) is the primary source of information about the local historic environment within the administrative boundary of Dudley MBC. The database at present contains over 3,000 records on a variety of heritage assets from below ground-archaeological sites, excavations, find spots to historic buildings, monuments and landscapes. The Dudley HER aims to record all reported structures, landscapes, places, sites and finds of archaeological, architectural, artistic or historic interest in Dudley from the earliest evidence of human activity to modern times. The Dudley HER is constantly being added to, and interpretations improved.
