Full description
'In 1907 two Roman urns were found in making a tennis-lawn at Myrtle Hall, now known as "The Hall", on a part of the Danesbury estate. They were both broken, and not recovered ' <1>. These evidently belonged to the extensive Roman cemetery known as Welwyn Grange [1554]. The findspot is marked on the 1923 OS map <2>.
