The parish church of St Mary. Essentially a cruciform 13th century plan, remodelled in the 15th century by the enlargements of the transepts into aisles both eastwards and westwards, with the addition of later chancel chapels. The 13th century west tower is surmounted by a spire. There is a 12th century font, one of only three in the country, as well as a 15th century rood screen. The lateral windows are large and appear to have lost their tracery.
