The rood screen and two parcloses remain. The rood screen is dated to the 15th century.

Church plate: chalices: a pair with the inscription: 'Rattery Church, the gift of Walter Palk, esq. 1823'; paten: inscription: Rattery Church. Ex dono Samuelis Cory vic hujus parochiae'; flagon: inscription: 'Rattery Church, the gift of Walter Palk, esq. 1823'. Alms dish: inscription as on flagon. The vicar refused to supply any details.

Clarke, K. M., 1916, The Baptismal Fonts of Devon. Part 4, 311, Pl. 5 (Article in Serial). SDV145498.

The font is similar to South pool, although the round rim moulding has been pared away. The bowl and shaft are of of red sandstone. Shaft is in two pieces and has moulding at the top and bottom. The plinth is an inverted cushion, as at South Pool, of grey stone.

The tenor bell bears an inscription and the date 1763. Three Portuguese coins are let into the bell, probably in commemoration of England's assistance to Portugal during the Spanish invasion of that country in 1763.

The parish church of St Mary. Essentially a cruciform 13th century plan, remodelled in the 15th century by the enlargements of the transepts into aisles both eastwards and westwards, with the addition of later chancel chapels. The 13th century west tower is surmounted by a spire. There is a 12th century font, one of only three in the country, as well as a 15th century rood screen. The lateral windows are large and appear to have lost their tracery.

Parish church. , 13th century enlarged in 15th century by addition of aisles and enlargement of transepts. Restored probably circa 1860s. Roughcast stone with slate roofs. Nave and chancel in one with five-light perpendicular east window.
Rood screen, 15th century, built across nave and aisles, rebuilt in late 19th century reusing some of the original carved work. Font 12th century, of red sandstone with fluted round bowl with frieze of incised semi-circles and cushion base.
