Summary : This centurial stone was found during consolidation work of the north face of the Wall at Black Carts in 1972. It was found in the first course above the footings 65m west of the west turret 29a. The stone is of buff coloured sandstone and measures 0.36m x 0.20m. It is still in situ. The stone is inscribed with:COH IN S B'Of the First Cohort, the century of Nas(...) Bassus (built this)'. |

The stone is of buff coloured sandstone and measures 0.36m x 0.20m. It is still in situ. The stone is inscribed with:
