Summary : A Roman altar was found in 1838 in the foundations of a cottage at Hardriding, SW of Chesterholm Fort. The altar may be from the fort or a shrine. It is now in Chesters Museum.

SW of Chesterholm fort, is now in Chesters Museum.

Prof. Birley suggests that it probably came from a local shrine to
Cocidius rather than from the fort-site. (1)
