More information : "Near Moston ... in 1812 parts of two Roman milestones inscribed IMP CAE and MP were found in a shallow pool lying on a bed of gravel (perhaps the ancient roadway) ...[RR 6a] ..." Two of the pieces measured 4 ft. 6 ins., 1 ft. broad, and 4 ft. long. (a) In his MSS. (b) Blakeway gives a slightly different site" and a not very intelligible sketch; hence Ephemeris Epigr. (c)". (1) [Area centred: SJ 5567 2755] Find sited. (2) The precise find site was not established. (3)
