| Description: | One of thirty-five peat huts (a fuel store for the storage of dried peat) of Post Medieval date.
Thirty-five peat storage huts were identified on the fellside surrounding Eskdale from APs and 1st edn OS plans from 1860. This hut, of Type B, was roofed in 1860. It measured 5.8m x 4.95 m. See other sites with same Group No (S1868 p. 104-114, S1734). Corresponds to Winchester's Hut no 33.
