Summary : Md Boundary Dike (rems of)
More information : SE 522803 to SE 528809. A boundary dike was built circa
1147 by Roger De Mowbray to settle land disputes between the
Savigny monks at Stocking (SE 57 NW 23) and the Dayvils of Kilburn.
Faint traces of it survive alongside the drainage channel NW of
Scawling Wood, and continuing NE into Hell Hole; the parish boundary
still follows this line. (1)
