Summary : Documentary evidence indicates that there may have been as many as three Roman cemeteries associated with Housesteads Fort. The documentation alleges one to have flanked the military way near milecastle 37, the second West of the Mithraeum, and the third on the West side of the Knag Burn. No visible evidence has been found. |

Housesteads fort seems to have had at least three cemeteries; one flanking the Military Way towards milecastle 37 (NY 787 687), one just W of the Mithraeum (NY 789 684), and the third "on the W side of Knag Burn near the place where the large broken column lies". (2-3)
