More information : Before the end of the 12th c.(a) Garendon Abbey had established a grange at Burton. (1) Inquisition of 1589; Henry Skipwith died leaving "Burton Grange", within the parish of Prestwold. (2) No siting evidence could be established for "Burton Grange". (3)
