Summary : "Lower Mill" is shown on a 1962 map. It is a three-storeyed building which has been converted into a dwelling. It was fed by the main town leat and had a fender, relief sluice and sluice to wheel pit. The whel measured 12ft in diameter and 5ft wide. It is marked as a corn mill on the 1904 map but is shown as "Mill House" on the 1970 edition.
