SWAINBY WITH ALLERTHORPE GATENBY ROAD SE 38 NW (south side, off) 2/33 Gate piers to Allerthorpe Hall 5.5.52 (formerly listed with Allerthorpe Hall)

2 gate piers. Early C17. Ashlar. Square in plan. Plinth. Rusticated piers. To each inner face, set back are rusticated pilasters with moulded cornices and brackets. Entablature has moulded band to base, frieze with 2 panels to each face, large moulded cornice and blocking course with large cushion and ball finials. Graded for group value with the house.
