II Former Bethel Chapel for Methodist New Connection. Circa 1811. Hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings, stone slate roof. Two storeys, three bay symmetrical facade of secular character. Plinth, rusticated quoins, frieze and cornice with blocking course. Arched doorway with rusticated surround, under heavy cornice on consoles. Over, and to either side are identical large sash windows (two retain glazing bars) with architraves and prominent cornices. Date taken from D.
