House; C18, early-mid and late C19, of several builds, now two residences. C18
north block red brick in Flemish bond with grey headers, stone dressings; tower
to north, probably early-mid C19, pebbledashed; set back far north section,
holding garage, red brick in English garden wall bond. South block late C19
pinkish brick with dressings of ashlar and light red bricks. Welsh slate roofs,
the southern graduated, with stone copings, brick stacks; pantiles on north
extension. South block (No 1) 2 storeys, 4 and 2 windows; right part canted
back to street line. Stone porch with scalloped parapet holds glazed door and
sidelights under elliptical arches. Sash windows with patterned upper glazing,
in chamfered surrounds with stone lintels and cills. 3 stone-stepped-and-
corniced brick ridge stacks. North part (No 2) 2 storeys, 2 bays with 3-storey
tower set back at left and extruded porch. Far left part 2 lower storeys, 2
wide bays, set farther back. In porch an early C19 patterned, half-glazed door
with narrow left sidelight; 8-pane sashes in other places. Main house has
quoins and first floor band. Gauged flat brick arches with keystones to
replaced glazing-bar sashes. Stone gable copings and stone-corniced right end
stack. Lower has alternating-block quoins and window surrounds, ground-floor
cornice, battlemented parapet and turret chimney. North extension has C20 door
with glazed panel, wide modern garage opening and 3 16-pane sashes.
