Summary : The 2.5 mile long branch line was opened in 1901 to carry military personnel from Ludgershall to the army camp at Tidworth on Salisbury Plain. Opened to public passengers in 1902, this facility was withdrawn in 1955 when the line passed to the War Department, until fully closing in 1963.
