Summary : Number 21 Hanover Street is a fire station built in 1958-9 for the Co-operative Wholesale Society to the designs of the CWS architect G S Hay. An small, single storey, rectangular, flat roofed building of yellow brick on a lue brick plinth. It comprises a single large garage with a vehicle entrance of Dantzic Street and three windows in both side walls, with an entrance lobby and office at the rear entered from Hanover Street.
