Summary : Site of Second World War heavy anti aircraft battery ZW9 at Gladstone Park, Dollis Hill. It was armed with two mobile 3-inch guns in January 1940, but was listed as unarmed in June 1940. It was manned by 263 Battery of the 184th Royal Artillery Regiment in 1940, by the Home Guard in 1942, and by 631 Battery of the 148th Royal Artillery Regiment in 1943. It was retained as an Off-Site Nucleus Force Battery in 1946. |
