Summary : Two post medieval rectilinear enclosures and associated field boundaries are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on air photographs. The larger of the two enclosures, measuring 39m by 48m internally, abuts an east-west field boundary. The smaller enclosure, visible as a cropmark and measuring 15m by 16m, is on the same alignment, though not abutting the boundary. The features appear to cut through an earlier medieval field system of field boundaries and ridge and furrow. None of the earthwork elements appear to be extant on the latest 2008 vertical photography. |
