Summary : Site of Second World War heavy anti aircraft battery ZS20 in Richmond Park. It was armed with four static 3.7-inch guns in 1940, and had been increased to eight 3.7-inch guns with GL Mark II radar by mid 1942. It was manned by 260 Battery of the 84th Royal Artillery Regiment in January 1940, by 262 Battery of the 84th Royal Artillery Regiment in May 1940, and by 350 Battery of the 163rd (Mixed) Royal Artillery Regiment in 1943. It was retained as an Off-Site Nucleus Force Battery in 1946.
