Summary of Monument
The ruins of the west front of the former Cathedral of St Mary, and the upstanding buildings which form 3-5 Priory Row.
Reasons for Removing the Monument from the Schedule
The Priory Ruins are descheduled for the following principal reason:
* Upgrading the designation base: the future management of this site will be more appropriately managed through the Grade I listing of the Priory Ruins, and the recommended Grade II* listing of 3-5 Priory Row.
