Summary : Site of a Second World War heavy anti aircraft battery at Jordanthorpe Farm, Norton. It was armed with four 3.7-inch static guns with GL Mark II radar and was manned by the Home Guard, in 1942. In 1941 it had been manned by 187 Battery of the 67th Royal Artillery Regiment. It was retained as an Off-Site Nucleus Force Battery in 1946.
