Summary : Two areas of post medieval extraction are visible as earthworks on air photographs. They have destroyed sections of the Hadrian's Wall ditch and bank of approximately 141 metres by 15 metres and 63 metres by 25 metres, the second of these is situated directly behind the remains of Milecastle 33.
