More information : (SU 68112221) Court House [LB] (1) A house appears to have existed on the manor of East Meon during the 13th century. The present house, of c. 1370, comprises the remains of a three bay hall with north chamber block and the probable remains of a timber-framed kitchen incorporated in the east wing. (2) The house was formerly arranged around two courts, with a west gatehouse and with the hall range at the centre. The house was restored in 1944. (2-4) 'Court House' is in good condition and comprises a large central hall and a north wing with a solar. A possible south wing, the existence of which is indicated by a blocked doorway in the west wall of the hall, probably completed the westerly of the two courts noted above. (5) Grade I. (6)
