HER 2448 DESCRIPTION:-
A stew pond in the garden of Southrop Manor that lends weight to the tradition that there was some kind of monastic house in the vicinity (290).
Site visit on 20.07.1998 for CSS scheme - fish pond is now an ornamental pond with several sluice gates in working order. Well maintained.
