(2) The dovecote at Lullingstone Castle (TQ 56 SW 18) is contemporary withthe Tudor Gateway (TQ 56 SW 58) and was probably built either by Sir William Peche or by his son, Sir John Peche. The dovecote is about 100 yards from the castle and church. It is octagonal in plan, and built of flint and red brick with a conical roof. The "potence" is still in position. (3)
