Summary : Parish church, closely associated with the Brownlow family of Belton House since 1638. Mainly circa 1200 and circa 1400; chancel 1721, altered early 19th century; south porch 1775; memorial chapel 1818; vestry and restoration late 19th century. Memorial chapel, west door, nave parapets and some interior features by Jeffry Wyatville, circa 1815-1820. Chancel and vestry, nave with clerestorey, north aisle, memorial chapel, south porch, west tower.

The Church of SS. Peter and Paul, Belton, is Norman to
Perpendicular. The west tower of c 1200 has a top dated 1638. The
chancel is early 18th c. (2)

Small church with interesting Norman work and later development.
Notable series of monuments of the Cust and Brownlow families.
L12C base of tower. M190 Gothic Transept mortuary chapel of
