Carved stone post, Bath Road limestone shoulders design, erected by Speenhamland to Reading turnpike trust, 18th century. Inscription reads: // To / READING / 14 //To / LONDON / 53 //To / NEWBURY / 3 //BRAYSHAW & BOOTH / MAKERS / LIVERSEDGE //. Grade II listed by Historic England. Milestone Society National ID: BE_LB53.
