Description:Milestone, Slyne Road, by Rose Cottage, opposite junction with Bottomdale Road, 25m N of Manor House, A6, W side, in wide pavement to right of wall of cottage garden. Metal plate attached to stone post, Lancaster twin iron plate design, erected by Garstang & Heronsyke turnpike trust, 19th century. Inscription reads: // BURTON / VII½ / MILES //LANCASTER / III / MILES //SLYNE with HEST //HOWDEN / & SON / BOSTON / 1835 ///. Grade II listed by Historic England.
