Description:Milestone, by The Lodge, 200m NE of elevated bucketway to Claughton Manor Brickworks, A683, S side, on wide, well cut verge between road and a high wooden fence. Carved stone post, Lancs CC stone triangle design, erected by the County Council, 19th/20th century. Inscription reads: // TO / LANCASTER / 7 MILES //TO / HORNBY / 2 MILES / KY LONSDALE / 9½ MILES / INGLETON / 11 MILES //CLAUGHTON //. Grade II listed by Historic England.
