Cast iron post, Patterson twin ovals iron post design, erected by Alnwick to Eglingham turnpike trust, 19th century. Inscription reads: // ALNWICK / 7 / MILES //CHATTON / 7¾ / MILES //. Grade II listed by Historic England. Milestone Society National ID: NB_ANCT07. Last record: 2004. (See www.milestonesociety.co.uk)
